Deleting your AutoScribble account
How to close your account, and exactly what happens to your data.
You can delete your AutoScribble account yourself at any time in Settings. Deleting removes your profile, your videos, your scripts and your brand kits. Financial records are kept for six years because UK tax law requires it. Deleted items clear from encrypted backups within 30 days. Unused credits are not refunded on closure.
Deleting from the app or website
Sign in, open Settings, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE to confirm and choose Delete my account. The account closes straight away and you are signed out of every device.
- Open autoscribble.com or the AutoScribble app and sign in
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Delete account
- Type DELETE and confirm
Asking us to delete it for you
If you cannot sign in, email info@autoscribble.com from the address on the account and ask us to close it. We will confirm it is you, delete the account and reply within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything that makes up your account and your work.
- Your profile, name, email address and profile photo
- Your public username and creator page, if you had one
- Every video you made, including thumbnails and downloads
- Your scripts, briefs and project history
- Your brand kits and uploaded logos
- Your saved video defaults and notification settings
- Any device tokens used to send you notifications
What we have to keep
A small amount of information stays behind because the law requires it.
- Records of payments, credits bought and tax charged, for six years under UK tax law
- Basic security and abuse records, for a short period
- Anonymised usage counts that can no longer be linked to you
Timing
The account and its content go immediately. Encrypted backups roll over within 30 days, after which nothing recoverable remains beyond the financial records described above.
Credits and subscriptions
Cancel any monthly plan before deleting the account so it does not renew. Unused credits are not refunded when an account is closed. If you think something has gone wrong with a payment, write to info@autoscribble.com before deleting.
Before you go
Download anything you want to keep first. Every finished video can be downloaded as an MP4 from its player page, and scripts can be copied from the project screen. Once the account is deleted we cannot recover them.

- How do I delete my AutoScribble account?

- What data is kept after deletion?
- Payment and tax records for six years, as UK law requires, plus short-lived security logs and anonymised usage counts that cannot be traced back to you. Everything else goes.
- Are my videos deleted too?
- Yes. Every video, thumbnail, script, brief and brand kit is removed. Download anything you want to keep before you delete the account.
- Do I get my unused credits back?
- No. Unused credits are not refunded when an account is closed, so use them or cancel a renewing plan before deleting.
