Downloading, Sharing and Publishing Your Video
A hand-off checklist per destination, including the parts we do not do for you.
When a video is ready you get a real MP4 with the narration baked in, named after the video rather than a string of numbers. From there you have four ways out: download the file, copy a private link that expires, email it to people whose addresses are remembered for next time, or open a social composer with a caption already written. Two destinations - Instagram and TikTok - do not accept posts from other tools, so for those you download the file and paste the caption yourself.
Free to write and rewrite. Credits are only used when you generate.
The short answer
Open the video, press download, and you have an MP4 you can upload anywhere. If you would rather not download anything, copy the share link and send that instead.
Everything below is free. Sharing does not cost credits.
What file you actually get
One MP4 per video, with narration and any music mixed in, in the orientation you chose. Portrait films are 9:16 and landscape films are 16:9, which are the shapes every platform below expects. The file is named from the video title, so a folder of downloads is still readable a month later.
The hand-off checklist, by destination
What to do for each place people actually publish.
| Destination | How it goes out | What it expects |
|---|---|---|
| Share opens LinkedIn with your caption ready | Landscape or portrait, native upload beats a link | |
| X | Share opens X with your caption ready | Either orientation; keep the caption short |
| Facebook Page | Share opens Facebook with your caption ready | Either orientation |
| Share opens a chat or group with the link or file | Portrait reads better on a phone | |
| Instagram Reels | Download the MP4, upload in the app, paste the caption | Portrait 9:16 |
| TikTok | Download the MP4, upload in the app, paste the caption | Portrait 9:16 |
| Your website or email | Copy the private link, or upload the MP4 to your own player | Landscape 16:9 usually |
| Straight to people | Email it from inside AutoScribble; addresses are saved for next time | Any |
Private links, and how private they are
A share link plays the video without a login and expires on its own. Anyone with the link can watch it while it is live, so treat it as unlisted rather than secret. You can see every link you have created, copy one again, or stop sharing.
Every send is recorded with the date and time, so you can see what went where.
The caption is written for you
When you share, a caption is drafted from the video's own script and you can edit every word before it goes out. It is a starting point, not a finished post - the best ones usually get one sentence of your own added at the top.
Limits and honesty
We do not post to your accounts on your behalf. Sharing opens the platform with the caption prepared and you press post, which keeps your accounts your own. Instagram and TikTok need the file uploaded in their apps because they do not allow anything else.
We also do not add captions or subtitles to the file itself.
Next step
If you have not made one yet, start above. If you have, open it from your videos and the download and share controls are on the same screen as the player.

Common questions
- Does sharing or downloading cost credits?
- No. Credits are only used when a video is rendered. Downloading, sharing, emailing and re-copying links are all free and unlimited.
- Can I post straight to Instagram or TikTok?
- Not directly - neither platform accepts posts from other tools. Download the MP4 and paste the caption we prepared into their app; it takes about a minute.
- Do share links expire?
- Yes, share links expire on their own. You can create a new one at any time, or stop sharing before it expires.
- What quality is the download?
- A standard MP4 that plays everywhere, with narration and music mixed in, in the orientation you chose. It uploads to any platform without conversion.
