AutoScribble and Golpo: what the difference actually is
A plain account of who does what, written because you deserve to know before you pay.
They are not two versions of the same thing. Golpo is the rendering engine that draws and narrates the finished film. AutoScribble is everything around it: the brief, the script you approve, the settings, the pricing in credits, the private library, sharing, refunds when a film comes in short, and a person to email when something is wrong. If you want the raw engine, go to the engine. If you want the whole job handled, that is what we sell — and we would rather say so than let you find out later.
The short answer
Working directly with a rendering engine means you own the integration: the prompt format, the polling, the storage, the retries, the billing and the support. That is a fine choice if you have engineers and volume.
AutoScribble is the finished service. You write a script, choose four settings, and get a narrated hand-drawn film in a private library, priced per minute, with sharing, downloads and someone to talk to. Golpo does the rendering underneath, and we say so on this page because hiding it would be the wrong way to earn your money.
Who each option suits
- Direct with the engine — developers building their own video product, who want to control every request and are happy owning the plumbing.
- AutoScribble — marketers, trainers, teachers and founders who want a finished explainer today and no plumbing at all.

What you are paying us for
Not the pixels. The judgement and the handling: keeping the script inside the length you ordered, choosing the settings that suit the job, holding the film privately until you say otherwise, refunding you when a film lands short, and answering when something is wrong.
That is the whole pitch, and it is why our prices are per finished minute rather than per API call.
When going direct is the better choice
If you are building a product of your own and video is a feature inside it, integrate with a rendering engine directly. You will want control of the request format, your own retry logic and your own billing — and a layer like ours would only be in the way.
Same answer if you are running very high volume with an engineering team already assigned. Buy the engine, not the service.
