How AutoScribble Works: From One Sentence to a Finished Video

Every stage, in plain words, including what happens when something goes wrong.

You write a sentence or a paragraph. AutoScribble turns it into a script, checks the words against the length you chose, then renders a narrated hand-drawn video and puts it in your private library. It normally takes around ten minutes and you get an email when it is ready. You keep control of the words at every stage, and you are only charged for the seconds of finished video you actually receive.

Stage one: your idea

You type or paste an idea into the box. A sentence works. A full script works too, and if you have one written already you can upload it as a plain text or markdown file. Nothing is charged at this point.

Stage two: the script

A narration script comes back, written for the length you want and broken into scenes with approximate timings so you can see the shape of the film. This is the stage where you take over. Edit it by hand, replace it with your own, or ask for a rewrite with an instruction like make it warmer or cut the opening. Every rewrite is free.

That is the whole problem with relying on footfall. Rain arrives, roadworks arrive, and there is nothing you can do about it.

An email address changes that. One card by the till: leave your email, get your fifth coffee free. That is it.

Now a quiet Tuesday is something you can fix. One message about a new bake, one about late opening, and people come in.

Stage three: your four choices

There are only four things to decide, and they are all reversible before you press create.

Orientation: portrait 9:16 by default, or landscape or square
Voice: two female and two male narration voices
Length: 30, 60 or 120 seconds
Logo: include yours or leave it off

Stage four: the length check

Length is a hard constraint, not a suggestion, because spoken words take the time they take. Roughly 150 words fills a minute. Before anything renders, the spoken words in your script are counted against the length you chose. If the script is too short to fill the time, you are asked to choose: have it written out to fill the length, or switch to the shorter length. Nothing is rendered on a guess.

Stage five: rendering, and what if it comes back short

Rendering takes around ten minutes. You can close the tab; an email arrives when the film is ready, and the video appears in your library marked ready to watch. When it arrives, the finished length is measured. If it is shorter than you ordered, you are billed for the seconds actually produced and the difference goes straight back to your credit balance. A film with a visual fault is flagged for us automatically.

Stage six: watch, download, share

The finished film opens full screen in your library. From there you can download the MP4 in one click, named after the video, create an expiring private share link, email it to saved recipients, generate a caption and hand it to a social platform, or opt it into the public gallery credited to your username. Videos are private until you choose otherwise.

What it costs

100 credits is one minute of finished video: 50 for 30 seconds, 100 for a minute, 200 for two minutes. New accounts start with 100 credits, so your first minute is free. Scripts, rewrites and settings changes cost nothing. Remaking a video with changes creates a new video and uses credits, and the cost is shown before you confirm.
