The basics of the stock market in one video: stocks, mutual funds, NSE, BSE, Nifty, Sensex, brokers, and IPOs.
A stock or share is a small piece of ownership in a company. When you buy it, you become a tiny owner.
The stock market is where people buy and sell these shares.
When a company sells shares to the public for the first time, it's called an IPO — this happens in the primary market. After that, investors buy and sell shares among themselves in the secondary market.
NSE and BSE are India's two major stock exchanges. Nifty 50 tracks 50 major companies, while Sensex tracks 30 major companies.
Zerodha and Groww are brokers — platforms for buying and selling investments.
Mutual funds pool money from many investors and invest it across assets.
Remember: Stocks → Exchanges → Indexes → Brokers → Mutual Funds.
That's the Logic Behind the Wealth.
